Mark Jamtgaard, Director of Technology at RetailNext, presents the "Deploying Embedded Vision for Retail Analytics at Scale" tutorial at the May 2017 Embedded Vision Summit.

RetailNext pioneered the use of embedded vision to bring e-commerce-style shopper analytics to brick-and-mortar retailers. In this presentation, Jamtgaard explores how embedded vision enables the collection of efficient, accurate shopper analytics at scale for retail store operators, enabling them to optimize the shopping experience and increase sales. A longstanding developer of a hardware-agnostic SaaS platform, RetailNext recently introduced its first hardware device to better meet retailers’ needs – a purpose-built, embedded-vision-enabled sensor.  This session shares lessons learned from transitioning from a software-only to software-plus-hardware business model.
