Robotic Materials Demonstration of Its All-in-one Embedded Intelligence for Robotic Manipulation

Austin Miller, lead engineer at Robotic Materials, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the 2019 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Miller demonstrates the company's recent SmartHand product, a robotic gripper with embedded 3D perception, computation, and a complete programming environment.

Accessible by any Wi-Fi-enabled tablet or computer, the hand can be programmed using Jupyter, an easy-to-use Python programming IDE, pre-loaded with state-of-the-art tools ranging from OpenCV and Open3D to Tensorflow and Keras. Robotic Materials' SmartHand provides intelligence to your Universal Robot arm and dramatically lowers the floor to create intelligent robotic systems.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
