Bill Jenkins, Senior Product Specialist for High Level Design Tools at Intel's Programmable Solutions Group (formerly Altera), demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the May 2016 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Jenkins demonstrates how Altera FPGAs can be used to build power-efficient neural networks to accelerate machine learning. The demo shows convolutional neural network-based pedestrian and object detection from a car, along with a drone, being accelerated by the company’s Arria 10 device.
