Bence Varga, Business Development Manager at AImotive, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the January 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Varga provides an overview of the company's new funding round and upcoming plans.
AImotive’s goal is to build scalable self-driving technology that works in every corner of the world, relying primarily on cameras and advanced artificial intelligence. With the latest successful funding round of $38M the company plans to expand and open offices in Asia and grow the team, currently 170 people in size, further this year. During 2017, AImotive developed a self-driving highway autopilot with its largest OEM partner, PSA Group.
The rapid development of a safe highway autopilot functionality was enabled by AImotive’s in-house simulator called aiSim. Inside this photorealistic simulator, AImotive is already testing thousands of traffic scenarios every night with extreme weather and lighting conditions, and with plans to move forward to urban scenarios and real-world city testing in 2018.
