The U.S. Marines are interested in testing the application of image recognition via Machine Learning to real-time identification of battlefield threats. My organization, the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) is working on behalf of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) and MilTech-Montana State University to identify companies with technologies that may be effective for this project.

Funds may be available to participating companies for non-recurring engineering costs and procurement.  Full details are available at this link

If your firm is interested, fill out the RFI form for “Machine Learning Applied to Real-Time Optical Threat Detection” as soon as possible - the deadline for submissions is March 14, 2018.  The form should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
